Surprise…Been working ‘behind the scenes” with J.D. Eastgate…the founding force behind this project.(Runs the 100 ft drags at Waterford). I had my reservations on whether this thing would fly, knowing the monster opposition that towns-states-well….’government’ in general would put up ….not to mention the “townsfolk” against noise, traffic, ‘hoodlum’ element. But seems he’s got positive support from a majority of the cities commissioners, who by the way own muscle cars .He’s been in constant touch with IHRA headquarters -division and tech directors….to the point of TODAY …he’s here in Rockingham, At Rockingham Dragway to meet and get direction from all the Big Guns at IHRA who are ‘training” him in track prep and track operation. They’re all here for the Nitro Jam event .We met last night and I helped him with directions and motel. Heading out soon to hook up at the track. Seems I’m on board in an advisory capacity in marketing and promotion. We’re doing up a new Logo, ad-art and website graphics. I’ll take some shots and post them later. OH- He also has met with Howie At Lebanon, who’s VERY supportive of the Idea!. Read between the lines there
