Well after a LONG delay, finally got my Chevelle out for some runs @ Island. For November 12 weather was perfect in the mid 60’s. First pass off the trailer was 10.75 @120.19 w/1.43 60 ft. Changed shift on 2nd pass, went 10.64 @ 120.13 w/1.41 60ft. Made 2 more runs @ 10.74 and 10.80 with traction issues as the 60ft. slowed to 1.50. Car did 1ft wheelstands each pass! Very happy with the results. Gotta say “Super Punpkin” Casey was on my mind during the day. I think he would have liked it. More changes to come…hopefully next weekend the weather holds out.
Thanks for the pic, Dino. That was from ’07 or ’08. Tomato…sorry, walked out the door Saturday without a camera, DUH!! Island’s photgrapher Greg Van Ess took pics that day. He got a nice one with wheels on the way up (10-13-2010 #9356).
