Never met Al but it was nice to see the video of him reunited with his Willys at the reunion and have his family there. There is a photo of him on this site about to race Angelo Greco at Conn. maybe I’ll try to Contact Angelo ( from Wethersfield, Ct.) or maybe someone knows him. It’s tough to see part of the old gang passing on. R.I.P. Al Thanks for the Gasser thrills and more important the memories.
Pete called to say thanks for all the kind thoughts and when he has the Funeral info, will post.
I also remember the “Bee Line” Willys RIP Al

Dang. This is a rough week! Godspeed, Al.
Gasser wars be damned, Bee Line was always my favorite gasser!
Somebody’s got to say it…Al Was what Drag Racing Was…Build it yourself and go beat the bumpers off the top gassers in the country. No mail order Kits…No hot shot Fabrication Company…Ya did it yourself in the late hours after work in dirty… cold in the winter… hot in the summer makeshift garages. If you didn’t know how …you learned.
