Hi everyone…..well after 2 yrs from opening my repair shop is now closed. It’s been a hard ride in this tough economy and i have not been on here in a long time, I know i missed alot on here. Now i am looking for a union job and maybe looking away from auto mechanics. So as i look i am scraping metal. If anyone needs to get rid of any metal items including heavy steel like old boilers , engines , rear ends , old metal machinery , etc.
If yoe need stuff removed please let me know……Thanks on i will be on hear once a night

I just looked over my post and seen all the incorrect spellings, they must have given me the wrong coffee this morning.
I take any metal yard equipment to washing machines….a/c units………
I pick up FREE of charge
Thanks!!!!
PS…If anyone knows of any Union jobs that are hiring please let me know.
Hey Tomatohead used to stop by my shop all the time and now i dont hear from you……… Oh yea i forgot you get all the scrap metal from the Dover Guys and thats why i am not getting any replies…LOL !!!! After i get a normal job i maybe able to hook up with you guys . I hung onto the shop as long as could some of my great customers lost there jobs and others would not spend a dime untill the vehicle would brake down. I also see a couple paces going out of business also, and i did not have the backing to keep me going. hope all is well and (TOMATOHEAD) call me sometime when your not scraping…
Ok..guys… Rally round a Dover Guy…excellent mechanic…any leads ….?
Just curious . Why a Union Shop?? If you’re good at what you do, you don’t need a union to cover your butt. I got tired of paying for the right to work a long time before I retired. When I moved to Florida in 1990, there were very few Union shops here, and you did not have to join, to work. I liked that idea. I went to work in a shop that had a UAW Union, but never joined. I thought about it, but the guys that were in the Union, were the guys worried about their jobs. I never worried about mine, I was very good at what I did. If you really want a Union shop, try the Ryder shops in Poughkeepsie, or Newburgh. They are I.A.M., which is International Association of Machinists. It was the best one that I ever belonged to, the rest just wanted your money. Very sorry that you lost the business, I got lucky and sold mine before I went to work for Ryder. Good luck in whatever you do. Stay in touch. ……………..Mikey 😆
Hi Mikey
I am thinking of getting in with Robinson oil as a service tech. My brother inlaw has been there for years and is a teamsters union. I have worked in non union shops and at this one i was top man for 10yrs then things change with company/bosses and hire relatives and guess who is top dog now, and who gets less work…..and when you get paid hourly plus commision and the commision gets cut way back. If you have a good union you should have no worries.I am not going to give up wrenching cars, but i think i need a change so i can keep the roof over my families head…….
P.S sorry i have not been on your web site in a long time……….don’t worry i will be on soon
Thanks Mikey and have a good holiday !!!!

Hey, if you’ve got your Cab Air certification, that’s a start. Then you can go after the other Refrigeration Certificates. I still have my Cab Air, and my Type ! and 2 Certifications. Go for it, you can do it. ……………….Mikey 😆
