Just a simple thank you to all those living and actively serving veterans.
As you know, or should know, Memorial Day is the day we observe in order to HONOR those who have given their last, full measure of devotion to country.
Veterans Day is the day we acknowledge, living and serving veterans.
I don’t mind so much honoring the former, in fact, on any day. But I do get a bit riled when we acknowledge the living and serving on Memorial Day.
Regardless, today is the day for the living, and I want to thank all of my fellow veterans for their service. Well done!
