On Sunday Oct. 20, twenty three racers took the track at Island dragway to show our support for the newly reopened track. Clear skies and crisp weather gave a great environment for fast times in our last race of the season. In Comp eliminator longtime island racer Jim Mullen, in his 8 second Vega was the winner over good friend Ed Schrader in in his 9 second 67 Nova. In Nostalgia eliminator it was an all Mopar final. Jody Kenly in his big block Challenger was the winner over Roger Wright in his big block Cuda. Both cars are fast and so good looking they could be show cars!. thanks to all the racers and friends who came out on a beautiful Fall day.
