        I’m looking for any pics or info on a ’68 HemiDart “MISTER ED” that was run at DOVER. Thanks

            Wow. It didn’t look anything like that when Tony Cickery had it! It was red on one side, blue on the other…

                I replied somewhere to the “query” about a “Mister Ed” hemi Dart and directed that fellow to the Dover site. I know see that it just may be possible that there are two different cars, a “Mister Ed” and a “Mr. Ed”. The person that had asked said the car was from Ohio I think. 😕 😕 😕

                    They have quite a thread going on classracer.com If you haven’t yet checked it out.
                    There are pictures of the Mister Ed car as well as every other LO23 car known to man.

                        MIster Ed At Dover was run out of M&M Speed &Custom and was Tony Chickery’s. put CHICKERY in search for More than you need .

                            Thanks guys, I do have more pics….. I was hoping to find any more, and see if anyone here remembers seeing the car race or talking to Tony Chickery.

                                Tony was a great guy> We knew him, talked to him,bought stuff from him, and raced against him.
                                One Sunday we ran him for the pro stock final, hum in Mr. Ed, us in the hemi Duster.
                                It began to rain as we pulled up for the race, but they ran us anyway. (Imagine THAT happening today!)
                                Anyway, Tony was smart enough to short shift when the car spun, Bill keep it in the lower gears and spun, spun, spun.
                                Tony beat us.
                                Then he came by and gave us half the win money, told us, that wasn’t a real race, it was just for the fans.
                                That’s the kind of guy he was.

                                        I got a cool story about this car a friend of mine Donte long time friend of john Gunn were hanging at the dairyQueen “” the queen”” in Poughkeepsie next to the car wash all the guys hung there looked like staging lanes anyway chickery shows up with mr Ed. Donte gets in and goes for a 10.90 street pass down main st and up to Dover next morning . I heard this car is in a meuseum in Detroit now. Brian
