        We lost a great friend 5 years ago. Billy was a Dover icon for sure ❗ He was like most
        racers knowing that he wasn’t going to make a living at the track, but raced for the
        love of the sport. Billy was at Dover on opening day in 1961 and he was the last Modified
        Eliminator winner on the last day that Dover was open. Billy really liked this website that
        Dino put together where he could relive the good old days of Dover which was a big part
        of his life. Most of us ODF guys can remember how he would start his post on this site,
        “Billy Casey here” and the smiling pumpkin avatar on the right hand side. 😀 Well Billy,
        you’re always in our thoughts and prayers. REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND ❗ We will not forget you ❗

            Frank, THANK YOU VERY MUCH for reminding us! And I 100% agree, Billy (‘Speed’) Casey, will always be ‘LEGEND’ of ‘Dover Drag Strip’…Pete.

                    Heres one of Billy’s First Posts.July 2008..He was like one of the first ones to get on the forum…#20 to register:
                    “…..hi everyone ,bill casey here ,THE SUPER PUMPKIN. i have alot of fond (and some not so fond ) memories of dover .i was there the day it opened in 61 and i was the last winner in modified elim in 76 . a very sad day for many thanks dino for starting this . billy casey”
