Bobby, that Flintstone Charger is now restored to original S/S condition. Still in the same family, too. I believe that the current owner (Steve O’neal) said it was originally his uncle’s car????????? It was at the All Hemi Reunion 2 weeks ago.
BOBBY S. suggestion: since you’re scanning these things in so small…how bout you just send snail-mail to me , we’ll put em in my graphics program -resize- “retouch”- brightness and contrast adjust dpi and return them ? ? ? Dino….That’ll save them giant size.
GREAT STUFF WE might have to make a whole Vieo Bob gallery BUT posting like this gives option to reply . ….Al McCormick in the white Comet, Daddy owned the Dealership (Drake-More info !) The New Yorker Chevy II (Westchester Automotive) and a classic pairing of the “Black Arrow” And Bud Faubel’s “Honker”. Notice the ‘instant grip’ Powdered Rosin laid down? everybody had good times that day. MATCH RACE MADNESS !! SUNDAY , At the “Fast Track In the East”
Hi Guys,
Wasn’t The New Yorker Vic Ferris?
Andy
Anybody have info on the altered 66 Chevelle? For a split second it looked like the Palomino of Bobby Woods because of the color, but it certainly is not. His ’66 was all ‘glass on a tube frame and sat lower, eventually with a mile-long stretched nose. His ’64 (or was it ’65?) Chevelle was a steel GM shell and built similarly to this one pictured though.
Andy: “New Yorker”…Big VIC ….correct…Don Kuaer bought Vics “Locomotion” that became “The Equilizer”…DON just Called …watch for him to Check -in !
Hi Dino,
I think Vic then went to a Camoro funny car. I think he might of sold that funny camaro to Clarence Davenport?

HEY DINO…THE WHITE COMET A/FX (STOCK WHEELBASE THEN) WAS THE McCORMICK LINCOLN-MERCURY CAR…”JUST DOWN THE STREET” FROM YOUR FOLKS HOUSE (KATONAH) ON BEDFORD ROAD IN MT. BEST REAL BUDDIES….THE ORIGINAL “WILD WILFERD”…CANDID CAMARO…WILLIE HORMERTE…WORKED THERE “BACK IN THE DAY”…BEFORE THE AUTOMOBILE SHOP…AND HIS OWN STATION…I DIDN’T THINK ALAN DROVE THE A/FX CAR…ALWAYS THOUGHT BILLY LAGANA DROVE IT AND ALAN DROVE THE ’66 COMET C/S CAR… IN TIME THEY ALTERED THE WHEELBASE…ADDED THE INJECTORS…SOME FUEL AND ULTIMEATELY SORTA’ MADE IT A WHEELSTANDER…BILLY…LIKE BOBBY WAS “FEARLESS” &VERY ,VERY GOOD… AS DRIVER…AND VERY POPULAR…THEY BOOKED THE CAR A LOT….THEY WERE “BUSY ” TO SAY THE LEAST!!! OF COURSE IN TODAY’S BARRATT-JACKSON WORLD…THAT “BABY” WOULD BE WORTH NOT A LITTLE…BUT A LOT OF DOUGH.. IN IT’S ORIGINAL A/FX “STATE”…I BELIEVE THAT CAR WAS A ORIGINAL BILL STROPPE CAR COMMISIONED BY LINCOLN-MERCURY FOR A/FX COMPETITION…IF “MEMORY” SERVES ME (“GEEZERVILLE” IS IN PLACE) THEY ONLY BUILT AROUND 10 OR 12 OF THE COMETS…ALAN WENT ON TO BE A DEALER IN DUTCHESS COUNTY…I KNOW SOME YEARS AFTER THAT HE WAS A GM FOR GREER TOYOTA IN DUTCHESS…”BOSS GUY”-JACK KARL IS THE PARTS MANAGER FOR BROWNELL LINCOLN-MERCURY (FISHKILL)…JACK’S BEEN AROUND THIS STUFF SINCE “THE BEGINNING OF TIME”….HAS GOT MORE NUMBERS IN HIS HEAD THAN I’VE GOT HAIR..AND I STILL HAVE A LOT!!!
