Hell, it’s a short walk for me tomorrow to Dover Drag Strip from Harlem Valley Hospital,all I gots ta do is climb one fence and walk across rt 22 and BINGO I’m there!!!!
I’m sorry if I am in the wrong spot BUT I remember a guy out there on RT 22 polishing the light post every sunday that we passed by going to Dover. We left Elmhurst Queens about 7:00AM and made that left turn about 9:00 AM that guy was always standing there.
I remember that guy he always had big white gloves on.
P/S the best part of that picture is that if you got out of shape you could always count on hitting the ambulance ,ricochet of it and hit Chet’s wagon. 😆 😆 😆 😮
I don’t know who is driving but i think Chris Swift bought it from him. I drove it a couple of times It was ok going down the track but when you tried to stop it would unload the steering and look out. I never had much luck driving short weelbase cars.
