Way O.K., Dino.
Randy; you mean THE ‘Goose? I’ve had him on my mind since I saw him in Pomona.
Our booth is 3422 & 3424, we’re in the north hall. Our company is So-Komp, and we’re highlighting our new trailer mounted wind turbines as well as our regular super quality Carbon fiber capabilities. We are the guys that were building cabon fiber internal engine components until NHRA found them and issued a mid year rule revision for Pro Stock a couple of years ago. We still do p/s bike and car stuff. We’ve got some parts on cars that have been there for six seasons now, and tech still hasn’t found them. They are not specifically forbidden; and sometimes its better to ask forgiveness than permission It’s called ‘creative rule inturpretation’.
http://www.sokomp.com ; it’s a lame site, but we’ve got a good one being put together right now.
I’m excited! See you guys there!
Stormy! I’ll be sure to find you and I’m looking forward to seeing your trailer stuff. I just happen to have a very good friend who manufactures over 300 trailers every week. We don’t have a booth this year, but our “unofficial home base” will be Taylor Motorsports Products. The Mongoo$e will be signing there a couple of times, too.
P.S. I still wish ‘ya would have tripped me last week (or something). Hey, check out my latest post “Is That a Turkey Cackling?” You’ll see a photo from last week’s “Night of Champions” with the Yeakel Plymouth Special and the Goose speaking to the crowd.
THIS PRI show Is next weekend …Storm King will have his So-Komp business booth there AND has already recieved the Trick Counter display we made, that says “Do You Remember DOVER DRAG STRIP?’ ….with a pack of 500 Join ODF and “discover doverdragstrip.com ” flyers ! Told him to send photos .—–>Storm king …GOT to Get The “Mongoose” To autograph something (8 1/2 X 11 scanable)…”To the Dover Guys …we remember !”… and start a list of names under it ,with anybody else ya find .Grumpy…TV Tom…. ya know, name guys that ran at Dover ….maybe just leave it out on the table ?
Rich Head has 2 t-shirts signed by anyone who raced at Dover.
He has them at the reunuions and at all the NETO races he goes to.
The second shirt was started this past reunion. 😀
He needs to bring them to Dover-fest …Might require a Third 😀 Gotta get photos of them !
Might Ask Rich WHY he’s not on the forum ……………………..?
Heres A link for video coverage of the show!!!…………

The video coverage was almost like being there. Great stuff.
Well, some of our group just got back from PRI, what a show! Even though its only one third the size of SEMA; I think its a better event. Unfortunately, we never did see Randy fish or the ‘Goose, but things happen, time gets away and all, when you are trying to work a venue this huge. We had a great time, gave away quite a few Dover brochures, and met some folks who raced there, or knew of it; who have promised to check the site out. A couple of stories…
We recorded a segment for ESPN2 which will air in the fall of ’09 (wish we could move that up a few months!) They highlighted our products, much like that segment Dino linked to.
I saw my brother talkling to a guy for a long time and couldn’t figure out why as he obviouosly wasn’t intersted in what we were selling. Turns out he is Doc Burgess’ brother in law! He might show up here soon.
Then, as the show was closing Howie calls me from Oklahoma and asked me to go back to the Mopar booth and take some pics of Bill Flynn’s ’65 AWB car (the one we all love!) for reference on his project. Well the ‘Peddler was the first car Mopar rolled away, so I missed it, but I saw a ’71 Scamp like my brother’s current project, and went over to look at it. Later Bill talked to the guy outside, and it turns out he’s from New windsor, N.Y., not far from our old home, and lives right down the street from Joe Beltempo, (bought the “Northeast Raider” from Jed St.Angelo) whom we’ve been trying to get on this site. He’s going to work on Joe for us, too. This guy was just talking to one of Centolanza brother’s crew chiefs; from the Hemi ragtop ‘Cuda, I think, and we’ll try to get him here too. So we should pull at least a half dozen new folks as a result of the show, and who knows how many they will in turn entice to join our merry band!
PRI is about business, of course; and I think if we do a good percentage of the leads and prospects we made there this year we’ll at least book into seven figures from it. That’s what America and capitalism is about! I hope more of you guys still involved in motorsports will be able to attend next year, its a great event; and it doesn’t suck to be in Florida in early December.
We were there, problem was,I didn’t know of this resurection of Dover people, and I never noticed the booth(signs). We were on a sponsor seeking mission.
