        Did any of you notice that some names from early Dover/Connecticut Dragway were in the Gatornationals yesterday?
        Bobby Lagana made it to the semi-finals in top fuel and Tasca won funny car.

            Great news.

            Here is a picture that I took of Bobby Jr. at the Gatornationals in 2004. He and Rhonda Hartman Smith were the first fuelers up, but Bobby’s reverse gear wouldn’t engage after the burnout and that disqualified him. I spent some of the rest of the day with him. I find the Lagana’s to be very approachable people. They never qualified. They took the place of Clay Millican because eliminations in March were rained out and they held them in April. Clay couldn’t make it so Lagana took his spot. This was the first time out for them after the loss of Bobby’s mother.

                                I couldn’t get to see that on ESPN2, did anybody else…? I wish I could get it on a DVD.

                                    Les M. just filled me in on their previous race in La.

                                    I recently went to Baton Rouge, Louisiana with the Lagana AA/FD Team, for the IHRA season opener, the “Mardi Gra Nationals”……
                                    Bobby Lagana Jr. garnered “Top Fuel” Runner-up honors at the event……
                                    I thought you might be able to find a spot on the web site, for the photo’s of the old Dover Drag Strip warrior…..
