The Dover Drag Strip .Com Willys is loadedup and ready for some testntune at The Valley Sat. tomorrow !!!
Hemmings Motor News Musclepalooza is Sunday !!
If ya go Sat.,stop by and say hi!!!
This will be the first chance to see how much those Alcoa heads lower the e.t.!!
I will post pics on Sunday,and a video latter next week!!
Ken Kull,with “The Red Baron” Willys pick-up has been out testing and ran an 8.40 @165 mph!!
Pretty stout #’s!!!

NEWS BREAK: same day coverage………Paul checked in on the cell phone- left message..Quote : ” Too Much Horsepower.,first run 9.88 @ 156..Smoked the tires.” Second run …adjusted some stuff and got wheel hop and shut it off …third run ..dropped the tire pressure again and smoked ’em again…then message cut off…But, thats why they call it test & tune..Boys loaded and heading back.

Update …Paul & V-Bob just called again …”on the road home” via cell phone…Reason for smokin ’em was combo of track slippery and still using the old “hockey-puck’ M&H bad tires. Trick new sticky Hoosiers not mounted yet…had wrong offset wheels . Just really checking out repaired Motor …which was fine. ALSO At The Track…right in line behind them, was ‘Skeet’ with his Plymouth and Pat Molle and his Camaro. Said lots of Mopar’s Testing. V-bob has Photos and Video of all. will have his daughter post photos here tonight. Video later this week……….side stories …Vince was asleep in the back of the truck, and they HAD to stop, and get Pork sandwiches…….on the road again…..then the cell phone cut out again .

Is Skeet’s Plymouth still running…? How is it set up and what times is he turning these days. Did he keep it in his garage all these years…???

At the Marcus cruise night Skeet was showing the 2×4 set up they installed
during the winter, hope the test & tune gave him some good numbers,
might be tought if the track is not coated,
racers have been mentioning that it’s been a lil shy on the
traction compound latley. see how sunday is for the
Hemmings Muscle Palozza & fast cars there.

Right lane was good for a hockey game and the left was ok for the Flexible Flyer!!
Overherd 500 cars for race day on Sunday!!
Almost half the cars from the MOPAR club broke and the Macennson orange injected AWB MOPAR kissed the Jersey wall !
