Me first….Wifes Birthday today ….I’m rapidly gathering Lots of Photographic goodies from the Race …will be assembling them soon in the Video of the Race we’re producing that will have the Bonus photo disc. Thankingsgiving roaring down on us…Northeast guys Signal of End of most Racing Schedules.Then it’s on to Christmas …Oh -Sale On now for the Nostalgia Shirts ..That topic in General Discussion …Hey-lets Get some more Bidding on the Nostalgia Drags Center sign..3 guys out out of 600+ ??? Florida Guys -And anyone I guess -See the post about PRI show ! How ’bout ODF’S plan a time & day/location for a Meet & Great ! How about the Hellzapoppin Story -Cool …Storm King back working on His “Crusader” Altered WB A/FX…just wants to do smokey full quarter runs and “play’ …Who else out there got the “build Incentive” ? lots said Nostalgia Drags, fired them back up to do something! ….Need More Coffee and smell the eggs cookin…SO WHAT DID U DO ? 😆 Paul- whats for brunch?

I started out with a plan to make a quick stop at Aldana Race Cars followed by a visit to Art Chrisman’s 80th Birthday party. But you all know how plans go (!). I had assigned Frank Aldana with a “Government Job” when he stopped for lunch with me and the Mongoo$e on Friday. Nothing much . . . I just needed a few drawer dividers for my desk. With all the tinwork he does, I figured he’d have plenty of scrap aluminum laying around and I was right. No big deal, right? Snap ’em off in the brake and we’re off to the races. Wrong!
It seems Frank had some goofin’ off to do Friday afternoon over at C.W. Moss Ford Parts in Orange. So I get to his shop around noon on Saturday and he starts scurrying around like he’s playin’ catch-up. Yep, he was playin’ catch-up, alright. I finally walked outta there past 2:30 after Frank over engineered my cheesy drawer dividers. They had nice radiused edges and a strategic bend at the top of each one. Guess that’s what happens when you ask a specialist to do what you’d expect to be a quick freebie. Hey, at least he got a free lunch out of the deal. So much for Art Chrisman’s party, though.
My next “Construction Zone” article with Frank will show him fabricating all the tinwork and trees for a new Nostalgia Funny Car. He was commissioned to turn Tom Lemon’s former Top Alcohol Funny Car into a Nostalgia fuel car. When I was hammering on my deadline before the Finals, he had already shortened the chassis to fit the new ’71 Mustang body, which was one of the first out of the mold that Steve Plueger helped build. Ryan Konno is the driver and it’ll be called the “Pineapple Express.” Should be sweet. Today I plan to melt into my recliner with some Southern Comfort Egg Nogg. :ugeek:

m logged in…Did all you Northeast Guys “park” the race Cars for the Winter ? Need some info on Winter Shows up there ,to send out Dover Goodies to Dealers that will have vendor spots…call me if you’re interested.

I don’t know if they’ve done one or not. I’ll ask Frank and let ‘ya know. Tom Lemon has had some real sweet paint schemes over the years, though.

Not as exciting as you guys, went to the shop to take measurements and start the list for parts for the dragster. One the way there made a call for a trailer for sale in the area, almost like it was made for her, 12’ long bed, 4 new tires & rims, new complete electric brake assemblies & lights, very little to do to make her sit on the trailer just right.
Trying to set up a lunch date with a fellow racer who has a lot of info on the blower & fuel system like the one on the digger. Will start the dismantle job after the holidays.
Let the fun begin.

Maybe the guys in Washington will get a dose of history on TV and start to use their brain….American values -We have a lot to be thankful for..don’t see much about Afganistan Dragway 😉 .Kick back…Eat Big..watch the games and parade…settle in for Christmas, Yell at the kids, “Yes Dear”…the whole Enchalada.
masracingtd1167Spent most of sunday doing yard work but I still found some garage time . It actually felt good to be home on a sunday for a change . I figure that I spent about 40 days at the races this year between BJ’s Billy and my car it was a busy year but ton’s of fun .Time to regroup and get ready for next year . I plan on giving my motor a little spray next season maby I can get it into the six’s can’t wait!
