Hey out there!!! Anybody out there remember Scott Kinnery, raced out of “Jockos Speed Shop” in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. ? He ran a “Canary Yellow” Corvette in either gas or modified production. I was also curious about John Satterfield. Is he still around , and does he still run “Dutchess Automotive Machine in Poughkeepsie?? 😕 😕

Yes. After Scott left Jocko’s he came to M&M with a Red Vette (B/MP) then built a altered. He is on our list of sponcered cars and will be posted on the page soon. Also John Satterfield is on the list of cars we sponcered with his 1969 Camaro. We have pictures of both cars with the M&M BowTie logo on them.Tony told me that John is still in Pok. he still has a shop but a different name and still doing carb work. If you look @ Speed Shops from the past (M&M) page 6 you will see a list of a lot of guys you know. We will post all of them with pictures eventualiy.

Thanks for the comeback on Scott and John, good to know things are OK. How about the “Swampys Toy”, I just can’t remember his name. I know that Pat Six Fiend knows him. Stock Elim Vega, painted up like Jenkins Vega, Nat Record Holder. Mike 😯 😯 😯 😮 😮

I can’t say I do remember that Vega. I will ask Marty Timperio who raced the V/S Vega “Four By Four” out of M&M, he won class ’75+’76 at the SumerNationals, I’m sure if anyone knows it would be him, do you remember him ?
A Scott K story: Scott was at E Town it was one of the first times out, when he let the clutch out he put the car on the back bumper (Wheelie) he got scared 😮 and hit the BRAKES!!! Putting the engine through the HOOD!! 😮 and destroying the front end. 😥 😳 True story.

I know Marty very well, I also built a complete race car(circle track) for his cousin who is also Marty Timperio.
I think I figured out who “Swampy” is, Phil Marsh. When I worked at McCallum Chev as a mechanic, he was a sale man. I used to bring my Gas 68 Nova up there on Saturdays to tue it, set valves, clean out the hauler, and Phil would often be there washing, and/or tuning th “Toy”. Mike 😀 😆 😆 😛

Is Storm King Bill Bill Smirtek( probably spelled wrong) ?? Years and years ago, I went out to 5 Corners to look at the “Storm King” Pro Duster that was for sale. Ithink it was a shop behind, or close to the fire house in Vails Gate. they wanted % grand for the car, I almost bought it, but I would have wanted to swap to a Lenco trans, and the price of the car would have cleaned me out for a while. Oh well, one can only wonder,”what if”….

Yeah that’s me, Bill Smrtic. Wish you could have bought it. It wound up with a small block chevy in it. Oh the inhumanity of it. We couldn’t afford the lenco either. But by the time the car was for sale, the 4 spd was pretty well sorted out & reliable. Or at least as reliable as you can expect with that kind of abuse.
PRI is at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, 9899 International Drive. We’ll be in the Blachawk Composites booth, I forget the #’s.

I’m over here now. I went hunting for “Munchkins”, and got shot in the head by
Dick Cheney. I was the only thing he hit correctly, in the last 10 years.
I was in the hospital. My roomate was some professional golfer, who had his front tooth knocked out by his wife. Got hit in the head by an 8-iron.
Said something about many “Transgressions”. I told him, I used that same word to my wife also. She hit me in the head with a 440 forged connecting rod, from my 69′ 440 Cuda.
Damn, if I was only driving a big-block Chevy instead, I would have only got hit in the head with those stock aluminum rods 😆 😆 They hurt alot less.

You shamed me into this, I’m not computer qualified but…….Sent an e-mail to Mikey and I’m going to call him.Some time today after I’m done shoveling snow (yes snow) I’m going to Honda OF Kingston to see Ronnie Morehead and see if he has that stuff ready for me.
