Found this ‘killer post’ by Bucksnort( searching for Cha-Cha Stuff) at Jalopy Journal-Hamb, of his great photos from South Glens Falls Match Racing. Lagana & Doc duke it out with a whole bunch of Altered wheelbase cars.BUT….in the mix I found this strikingly familiar MG, listed as ‘Norwood Chev. MG’ …Could it be the same car ? PAT ?

Dino, only Pat would know for sure, but I’m gonna say ‘no’,not Dave Daley’s (Wille the Welder) M.G.First of all what I see is the roll bar. This one is ‘square’ at the ends, and only one brace going to the back,Dave’s had ’round’ ends on top with two braces going to the rear.Second of all, headers on this M.G. are flowing ‘over’ the front fenders;Dave’s followed ‘under’ front fender and running board, just shy of rear wheels, tapered out like a bellow at the end ( like Merkel’s 39 B/GS Willys had).I’d say ‘close’ but no cigar.Pat,we await the ‘facts’,you’d know for sure!

Its not my car but it looks like a twin to it when it first came out. I spoke to Bucksnort about it he asked me the same thing awhile ago.My MG had a square roll bar for only its first time out and never ran at Dover with the square bar.

I will post the first time out pics someday.

I was right! Thanks Pat for responding.Another thing I forgot to mention, yours had a grille (this one don’t).Personally,I think yours was ‘alot’ nicer Pat in detail.
