OK…ace mechanics tell me …Fuel filter clogged bad…replaced that. All ok ,then go to pull out of shop -Truck dies again. Did this about 3 times in 3 days. 93 F-150 Big 6. cranks good…no gas. ? twin tanks…pumps accessed easier by pulling bed off instead of dropping them….they now say -good fuel pressure …we’ll check the pump ‘voltage’ …lost here. Any advice???
Dino, there’s also a fuel pump relay under hood maybe acting up; or contaminated gas you picked up,or been sitting in your tanks. What was the pressure at fuel rail, when running? Did anybody check for failure codes with an OBD II tester, perhaps it may not be fuel problem? Were the injectors ever flushed out,or perhaps a rodent might have chewed part of the feed harness? Coolant temp. sensor, giving a false reading.
Mass air flow sensor erratic? Just some suggestions to try and help!
It’s OBD 1 for a 93, you can pull codes without a scan tool.
Thanks guys…the pump WAS going out…so we changed it …everything else checked OK…love the rodent reference ! smokes the tires again …YAH! Swinger…that video is for V8’s by the way…I got the ‘big 6’
