Dino,,
I’ll have a double order of that.
Never heard that phrase come through the loud-speakers at Dover.
I know you sure as heck didn’t learn that phrase in Rockingham, NC.
Island, October 18th. Yes will be there, with an old crew from Lakeland High School,
Shrub Oak, NY.
Bet you can’t find a good Italian Ristorante’ down there. My parents live in Southern Pines,
gave up on trying to find a place. Nothing like New York and/or Connecticut.
Scooch a menz.
Paul. gomba…I said ‘Attention in the pits and other parts of your body, all insane auto racers that love to eat and make jokes”
….Southern Pines , just 25 mins. “up The Road” …Now back to Fairbanks after that word from our Italian sponsors.
Buon giorgno’ Dino,
I a know a, I a know a. I a speaka good a italian a.
I just a don’t hear a to good a.
October at Island, hope to show.
Yes Southern Pines (parents are golfers now, but my father still has the urge to put together
a 67′ 273 Barracuda). Wants to ruin another one of my mothers original car.
Thanks to Bobby S. Schlegel and Louie Vignogna.

JUST FOUND THIS COOL THING…Click Here—–> http://dynamicconverters.com/aboutus.htm
Talked to Frank again…He still has “Cantankerous” ! apart in his garage lettered last with his name on it …He can’t make the Nostalgia Drags …Going to his High school Reunion that weelend with his H.S. sweetheart -WIFE . ( Clarkston in Rockland County)
Just Talked to Frank….Cantankerous STILL parked in the garage….He’s “entertaining” some serious ‘bidders’ but no sale yet. This has been going on for over a year.Remember …this WAS the Jenkins -Strickler Car and one of only 50 made…………From His “about Us” at his web-site:
‘This race car, which he still owns today, is an Ex- Strickler – Jenkins Dodge factory aluminum hemi racecar and one of fifty originally built in 1964. Not only has Frank’s Dodge won class at numerous NHRA Events, but also the car served as a test bed for many industry breakthroughs. ‘
When I started using Frank for my trans and convertor needs I stopped breakage by almost 100%………….. 😀 ..Frank is a great guy and one of the most knowledgable racing transmission people out there…He was my sponsor for a few years with my S/G car in the 80’s …Check out Dec. 2009 post by Dino, a pic of the S/G car with large Fairbanks decals…Highly recommended…………..Don…….

We sold and stocked Fairbanks Trans parts (retail and WD) for MANY YEARS, and I can say we sold as much if not more as B&M without any problems. GOOD to hear it stayed in the family and still Building!

Frank reports he just found an original , mint condition 64 race Hemi for the car…Still in his Garage-unlettered- and when he finds the time, plans to get it race ready. Said only about 200 of those motors ever built, and was real lucky to find one at a great price and in such good condition.
