HE still Has It …In Mint condition with perfectly preserved 64-65 win stickers ! Car is original …clean as a whistle. Tucked away in his garage at East Coast Auto Body in Poughkeepsie ! Hemi (Old Style) powered ”39 Dodge. Who found it ? Brian of course ,snooping around as usual …He’s going back to photograph it and get some original Trophies, John is donating to the cause …More as we get it !
I Had the WRONG photo !….Just Talked to John …Got the Real scoop…Class of 64….Poughkeepsie High School. (well 65 -they didn’t tell him he had to go to Summer school) Anyway, The car First ran a low stock class with the original 6 in Primer .Then he painted it Turq. metallic, put in a small Hemi with a J.C.Whitney ‘Full Race’ cam and 5:38 gears. Ran G/Gas Was lettered with Herb Reynolds Auto Body on the Doors. It would peak out at 7200rpm. Lead loaded rear bumper ,ladder bars and never had stock grill inserts. Used that alum mesh .In 67 he painted it Hunter Green metallic and finally parked it in 69-70,where it has sat ever since.The nose is off it now ,and motor apart. He has Hilbornes for it and wants to put it back on the street someday. So I edited all the Bogus photos out of this thread and going hunting for real car. John has to search a storage unit to find his old photos .Stop by and see him at his shop on Rose St -East Coast Auto Body.
In any case I consulted an expert;
