Haven’t heard from Mike Mannion lately…we still need to track down the info on the first timing equip.,that was all homemade. I’ll get an update.Also- How the heck were handicap starts down with a flagman? Like Pinks? —car lenths?
Just Talked To Mike…he stays in Florida for the Winter (Back In May) …lives in Brookfield. he helped build the Timing equip as a little kid and We’ll cover that in another post. We’re both working on finding the original blueprints of the track He’s married to Joe Archiere’s niece and is contacting various family members as to the possible whereabouts of these historical prints. Seems some “lady” showed up with them at a Danbury Marcus Reunion ….BUT we don’t know who she is and where they might be. Mike will report his findings and will be at our Race in Aug! .He also remembers when a fueler shook the tower and we got inundated with a stirred up wasp nest 😆
