TOM ….You Keep Coming up with great photos ‘From YOUR Attic” whats the chances of getting “Your Stash” and putting in the ODF galleries And VOL II of our Historical Photoi Collection Disc ???? PM me about this …Dino
I was going through the Dover DVD and found a picture of the “11th Commandment” Plymouth. Than looked closer at the background and found my 55 E/G er in white paint. The 25 year old standing in front of the car talking to some of the people that stop by was ME when I was about 25 years old. I think the picture was taken in 1965.
You never know what you will find on the Dover DVD since the resolution is so good. Thanks again to those that have built all the Dover history so far.
Yeah…!
And, the red Ford Hard Top in the background was there that day too when Richie Prokop dropped his driveshaft…!

Thats the neat thing…You can Beam in and it’s still clear…now look next to your car by the Snack Stand…The back end of Lagana’s Red “Locomotion “can be seen.
Hi Tom,
Interesting you mentioned finding a photo of yourself among others. I found the same thing with me.
In my ODF photo collection in the 2nd thumbnail group, 2nd row, 1st photo, I have a photo of the Bee Line Gasser on the line. Notice the black substance on the tarmac and the light starter wearing a white pants ( Not Al )
I found in the Craig Martell ODF photo collection, a picture of me from behind while I was taking the above photo. That is me at 16 yrs old in the white shirt looking into the top of my Anscoflex camera. Same black markings on the tarmac.
Charlie Irving
PS – the Martell photo is in the 3rd thumbnail group, first photo top row.

hi tom! good to see you after all these years at the race. in 1974 there were 2 55 gassers from bpt. area at dover. one is in the gallery with glass nose w/bow tie cut out. had trim around glass, straight axle, and floater rear. he was at gulf station across from shoppers fair.next one had no trim around glass (150) model axles the same, raced by “junkyard al” who worked at carbones in stratford. someone JUNKED the car and he collected enough parts from donor cars to put it back on the track.he was their ace mechanic who kept all the equipment going.
