Almost A forgotten holiday for the the “run of the mill” jerk taking advantage of the NEW govt. systems..Just another day off 😥 ..They have even screwed up the actual day to conform with the lazy bastards long weekends……Our vets and a few other good Americans feel and KNOW what this holiday means..My heartfelt and most humble thank you vets at home and to our lost heros for the ULTIMATE sacrifice while trying to protect and serve our once great country.. 🙁 May you all rest in eternal peace and forever have the Lord’s blessing…………E-4 Donald Kauer Combat Eng.18th Airborne….Cambodia 1965………

Right Don…the young generation, figures Veterans Day is enough…Well I remember Armed Forces Day when I got to see my Dad march in the Giant Parade on 5th ave. They killed that& the significance of some of our finest Memorial Holidays is just another day to ‘party”. Thankfully …our group can remember the real meaning.

Don’s post at the top of this page hits the nail on the head ❗ Memorial Day is a day of remembrance and respect for all of the fallen heroes of our Arm Forces ❗ Everyone has someone in their family or that they know that has been touched dearly by these wars…”It’s personal” ❗ As well it should be.
These veterans gave the ultimate sacrifice….their life ❗ Please remember
                            what this day stands for…….ty

While at Rhinebeck swap meet I came across a guy selling “Made in the USA” american flags, needless to say I bought one. I went back the next day and spoke to the guy and he is a veteran and owns or has something to do with the company. I saw they had “solar lights” for the top of the flagpole it said “Made in USA” so I bought that also.
If you search out “Made in USA” products and stop buying Walmart there will be more products made here. Don’t give up, it’s just a little harder. If I see “Made in USA” I buy it whether I need it or not. Proudly fly your flag.

As I wrote in an earlier post, Memorial Day is a day of remembrance and
John Shimer visited “Little Frankie’s” grave site and removed a marker that Patina made and placed at the grave site years ago. John is detailing it and will return it tomorrow to the grave site. “Thank you Pat” ❗
