Our Buddy Rich Warner…AKA ‘Mr Shine” Ran this Mustang!….Rich related: “Looking forward to being there again.( Dover Drags ) Here is a picture of the last car I raced at Dover – ran F- Stock in ’73 and ’74. I started running at Dover in 1961 or 1962. I have a trophy from Montgomery from 1960.
bought this car (not running) in late 1972. By Summer of 1973 I was drag racing It almost every Sunday. I ran mostly at Dover but also went to Island Dragway for test/tune, Lebanon Valley Dragway once,and a few trips to Englishtown, NJ. I built a whole new engine, blueprinted to Ford specs so it was legal for NHRA F-Stock class. It wasn’t a competitive car for the class,but I had a lot of fun running it for two seasons. The best time was 13.89 at 104 MPH.I towed it with our 1965 Ford Galaxie”
