I remember seeing that car up there, also seem to remember an Army surplus with a chopper out front maybe in Pawling on east side of 22.

I remember it too Pat, going past it in the early ’70’s, you couldn’t miss it! It reminded me when my racing partner and I were looking for a Willys back in ’61’. Down in North Newark, N.J. a junkyard had a ’33’ set up in the air, about 20ft.up ( like the Henry J). He wanted $600 bucks to take it down! We passed on it.I believe that’s the one the Wilson Brothers had. It was painted maroon, had a big block Ford, and ran A/G.
It was a junkyard …a mile north of the drags …its Cablevision now
The Red Rooster…….. 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 The best cheeseburgers around….. 😎
Don we would stop there every Sunday on the way back to the city after racing at Dover. I tried to park in front of the place to get a picture with the MG on the trailer after going to the reunion at Marcus dairy one year but there was “No Parking” signs all over the place and I couldn’t get in the parking lot.
