NETO race 12 was completed August 7 at Island Dragway. Forty three racers competed during Island Dragway’s Funny Car Throwdown. The rface was sponsored by New York Speed and Machine of Staten Island NY. Pete Yacca presented the trophies.

Comp eliminator was won by Chris Kraft in his eight second 55 Chevy. Chris ran a 8.738 on a 8.70 index for the win. Here is Chris’ son John receiving the trophy along with Chris and wife Amy, and crew Ben and Bruce .
Runner up went to Jim Mullen in his new 1963 Corvette. Jim ran a 8.237 on a 8.20 index to just miss getting the win. Here is Jim receiving the trophy along with wife Carole.
