NETO race 17, the John Parks Memorial race, was completed today Sunday Sept. 29,2013 at Lebanon Valley Dragway. Thirty racers participated in a an action filled super fast day that was notable for the two fastest runs in NETO history. Charles Benson drove his blown alcohol 540 CI chevy powered dragster to 6.91 during time trials. Then he went 6.73 in the first round. Congratulations Charles on an awesome performance. When the day was done Comp eliminator was an all JCM Racing affair. Chris Kraft in his fast 55 Chevy was the winner over his car builder John Carbone in a Nova. This was John’s first event as a NETO member. Congratulations John.
In Nostalgia eliminator, Jimmy Smith in the Team Smith 67 Impala was victorious over runner up Guy Johnson in his chevy powered Anglia Thames panel truck. This concluded a great weekend of racing. Thanks to all the racers, crew, family and friends who made this possible.
