IT’S OFFICIAL….The GRAND MARSHALLS of The 4th Annual Dover Drag Strip Nostalgia Drags are Mark “Smokey” Mastriani And James “Grover” Grove. Who Better than the two that have kept the Dover Spirit Alive with their Dover Drag Strip Reunions since 1991…Plenty Of Reunion info here on the Forum…But remember …Smokey was an original Track Manager And Grover was the FIRST PAID Customer At Dover ,going on to assist Smokey as a tech official. Both Still have race cars ….Smokey -a clone of his old Henry J Gasser and Grover drives his Mopar to area Cruises. They”ll be Paraded down the track in an Original H/S Dover Trophy winner ’63 Impala SS 4-speed, convertable driven by original owner ,Richie Head of > Wingdale,N.Y. Now That is what I call ‘Nostalgia” ! Here they Are Showing off Skeet Russels Gold From Dover …Grover on Left …Smokey on right With Skeet & Charlie.

Forming Up “parade” cars Now…might need a couple of Golf Carts to tow some lightweight rails and altereds…. others chug along under your own power ….DOVER CARS ONLY ….Pat ….Schlegel…..Jack Alcott….Good Vibrations…Carpet Bagger….and the list goes on…..Will be on a strict Event Schedule…More as we get it and will be outlined at Drivers Meeting.

Had lunch with Grover today, lots of laughs, he mentioned the picture of the D/G in the far lane was taken when Doc still owned it. Grover painted it yellow when he had it. He was sure the correction was needed to satify the questions. 😯
