dinoCorrect ! ….We contacted the wrecking yard referenced by Stormy in the Topic giving all its history…Seems they Stashed it in a storage shed instead of crushing it (the remaining chassis & back body complete with the cage). When the New owners took over…it was moved as they took down the shed. It was hidden in a pile of other old car bodies for years until last week they where clearing out a section with a front end loader and found it. We just talked to “Harry’ the yard forman,and he says you can still read “Storm King” on it. He’s going to Crush it if nobody wants to buy it. Scrool down for the number:

vindicator😀 😀 😀 Hey Bill…maybe you’re on to something…sorry to get “wired up” about this original/clone “issue”…but I have a un-forgetable recent “memory” (last 10 years or so ‘eh) 😆 😆 😆 )…wuz at a all Ford show…in Carlisle,Pennslyvania…there was a car there…supposed to be the late Dyno Don Nicholson’s… original/restored Mr Gasket Pro Stock SOHC Maverick (shortly after to be “seen” on several major auction blocks)…Dyno was actually there…signing (?) “stuff”/dashboard etc. (flown in by promotor/owner) to add/give credibility to the car…Dyno clearly was “out of sorts”…suffering clearly what later was acknowledged by his family from alzheimers/dementia…he couldn’t tell you clearly what he had for breakfast…let alone identify anything on this “professed” car…it about broke my heart…to see him used/taken advantage of this way…it wuz the ground floor/foundation of all the fraud…that has taken place…with these historic cars in recent years…like many others…Dyno wuz a guy…I grew up “idolizing”…got to know pretty well… he & Jon Kaase had stayed at our house/shop a number of times…back in the day…so…hence my “anger” 👿 👿 👿 …Ray Allen…the Chevelle SS World Champ deal… too…even “heard” tale from a very good “source”…never confirmed…Bill Jenkins did “endorse” a early Vega Pro Stock car (the first S&W car) with Barratt Jackson that wasn’t the real article (for $$$)…it’s really “frosts” my cake…if you know what I mean…so from that weekend on for me…no more reunions/old time events…having to see/listen to these type of just about $$$ “cats” “stories”…I’ve not forgotten who the Maverick promotor/guy is…if… just sayin’…he ever happens to be crossing the street…at my “advanced” age now…have a lil’ twitch in my right (accelerator) foot…”bad” things…could very well indeed happen 😆 😆 :lol:…just sayin’…with Jenkins gone now…don’t know what Doc’s current mental “shape” is…the “real story” of the original Black Arrow could indeed “maybe” be “revealed” 😆 😆 😆 Drake… p.s. really like Dino’s “idea”…possible “entree”/forward ‘eh 😆 😆 😆

Yeah, I know how these people are, Drake. Someone is running around with what they claim is Dyno’s Comet wagon, which supposedly was wrecked down south back in the day, and from what I have heard, the only part that MIGHT be from Dyno’s car is a vent window…
These people are whacked…and, no need for you to appologize for the hysteria that accompanies some of this stuff. We’re the same way. People just WANT to believe so badly (kinda like the people who want to be abducted by aliens) that they just go off the deep end.
vindicator😀 😀 😀 Hey Bill…I “understand”…it’s still a “free” country (with…way…way…too much ever impending government…influence/control…) 😆 😆 😆 and these “folks” have every right to attend these functions (reunions/events)…with the cars…”stories”…and that the “bulk” of us…are either a bit “aged”…or in-habiting…another “arena”/planet 😆 😆 😆 …also wanna’ believe 95-99% of enthusiasts are really good people for sure…just…guess I’m to be considered…”armed & dangerous” 😆 😆 😆 in my “fierce” defense of the “facts” with regard to these cars/era/racers (I don’t have to “look it up” on the internet… although Al Gore…who sez he invented it…sez I should 😆 😆 😆 …the “information highway” ‘eh) I dedicated much of my life (at that time) wiping tires on my dad’s flathead from 1958 (at age 10) to present…to it…met knew/know pretty well many of the (so-called) past/present “hot dawgs”…and at least….most of the whole truth…nothing but the truth…about a “pile” of it…(not x-actly…”drooling”…yet…either 😆 😆 😆 ) I like money…just as much as the next guy…maybe more…at times 😆 😆 :lol:…but a man/woman…just gotta’ know their “limits” hoss…just sayin’ 😆 😆 :lol:…so for me…so as not to make page one…of the NY Post/Daily News…or the Charlotte Observer…I just do not attend such events/get togethers…for “safety” reasons…U…get the “idea” 😆 😆 😆 Drake…even the “cats” that “state” (now) they won 20 weeks in row @ Dover…U know…never defeated…in the years 196-?..those of us that actually were there…racin’ week to week…”know” that just isn’t/wasn’t so…unless your car was a consistent one car class trophy…”piece”…it just didn’t happen…it wuz a very competitive place… a lot of “bad joses”…real racers…to say the least…there were “those” that won a bunch…and…we “know” who they were/are… 😀 😀 😀 ‘Nuff said
