The “Odd Job” and “Odd Job II” name for the my two Dover cars came from the 007 movie. The character Odd Job just seemed to be indestructible.

The name US MULE came from “Li’L Abner” comic strip. The method of delivering the mail was by a mule, called US MULE. Don Noyes enjoyed the name. So, it is also a bastardization of “US Mail” as well. You were right on one count.

Another comic strip name applied to a drag car was “SNOOPY”, a 394 ci Olds in a 32 Chev coupe, painted Cadillac Anniversary Gold. Owned by Frank Hewitt.

                                        Pete S., AKA usmule
