Ran Back in the mid 60s

I actually grew up in Dover Plains, NY about 8 miles north of the Dover Drag Strip (in Wingdale). I raced a 1956 Chevrolet and later a 1965 Pontiac GTO. Never any luck especially with the GTO as the guy in the next lane was always sponsored by a car dealer or the GM factory.

But I do have a trophy for winning a 1/4 mile foot race againist about 200 other would be runners.

Great to see this site and I hope to make it up to Lebonon next year.
