That was the first place my parents ever brought me to see stock car races. I will never forget that place. Tracks like that were the “grass roots” of Dirt Racing. Walt Shubert, Tim Hallock, Tom Dressel, Bob and Rip Riley, Billy Boo, DEEDEE Harris, and a host of others. Also saw some of the drag races, and watched a family friend win a trophy in his class.
