        Hi Dino,
I understand that you are looking for 1963 and up copies of Eastern Drag News. I would like you to expand that search to include 1961. I raced two 1961 401 hp Ford Starliners in 1961 and took 7 X/SS trophies along with 7 stock eliminator trophies at Dover. I picked up 4 of those alone on Labor Day weekend. I’d like to get a copy of any 1961 issue that has my name, Richard Pedersen in it showing that I won in X/SS. Could you please help me with my search? I’m willing to help you with the costs.

I also ran a AA/GS 65 red Mustang with a 427 cid 6/71 supercharged Ford engine in it that was street driven. The Goose nearly fell out of the timing tower when he heard me playing the stereo radio during a moment when the racing was stopped momentarily.

A friend of mine, Jim Ryan raced there also, later to be part of the Downing Ryan race team. Attached are some pictures of his car at Dover as well as mine.

        Hope you can help me.
        Regards,
        Rich Pedersen

…………………..I repled to his e-mail to get on board here and Get into the ODF Galleries …His car and Ryans Are there….”Dino”

I never met Rich but feel like I do. I went to high school with his cousin Howie Kittlestad. I started working at Cook Ford in North Tarrytown in and later in Scarsdale and White Plains. Fords district office was on Westchester Ave and I got to know a lot of the reps and engineers. Rich and Jim Ryans name came up a lot because of their cars. In 1971 Bob Brown racing built my Boss 302 engine and the Downing and Ryan cars ran out of his shop.
