You are invited to attend the 6th Annual Race Car Show and Induction Ceremony of the HVHRC (Hudson Valley Historic Racing Committee) on Sunday July 9th in Hopewell Junction, NY. Besides the show, 28 racers, will be inducted into the HVHRC/Sports Museum of Dutchess County Hall of Fame. Some of this years inductees you may recognize: Bob Ingles (former pro stock racer and engine builder), Billy Casey (1957 Chevy Super Pumpkin), Dino Lawrence (Dover Drag Strip Announcer), Bob LaRegina (former A/Altered record holder and current chassis builder), and many stock car drivers from the past and present like Jeff Heotzler (Current Modified Racer), Joe Lawrence, Ed Collins (Ed’s Motorcycle Shop), The Delease Family – racers Ron, Bob, Roger, and many more local legends.
The event is held at the Whortlekill Gun Club, 540 Route 376, Hopewell Jct, NY 12533. There is plenty of trailer parking and Racers are encouraged to arrive early, 9am or earlier. The morning induction ceremony begins at about 10:30 and goes to noon. Then there is a lunch break from about 12 to 1 and the afternoon inductions begin around 1:30. The event wraps up around 4pm. Food is available for purchase (very reasonable $) starting with breakfast thru the end of the event.
The induction ceremony and food service is under a very large pavilion capable of accommodating several hundred people which makes the event comfortable rain or shine. Race vehicles are parked along side the pavilion.

Dino, I was inducted there in 2015 for Drag Racing and Circle Track Racing. In August of 2014, I was inducted into the Dover Dragstrip Hall of Fame. I was, and still am very humbled by both Awards.
