Thanks For The Show V … Looked to be a good one !! ..
Thanks V-Man for the nice shots. Your Vega looked good in the race car parade down the
main drag. Nice tribute to Terry Hawley (Thomaston Car Cruz founder) with the help of
Dick Doyle, who was a close friend. Terry died 10 years ago. Oh yeah, a big congratulations
to Mike L. who picked up a TOP 10 Trophy with his beautiful 55 Chevy. It was a great day
with so many different cars. A very nice 911 tribute also. “Never forget the fallen” and the
first responders.
Frank… 😆
Congrats Mr. Mike !! …
😀 .. 😀 .. NICE !!!!
Looks like a real cool 55 in the foreground, Frank. 😀
HEY
YOU TUBE VID!

At the show, they did a 911 tribute and also a tribute to Terry Hawley (Thomaston Police Officer and Car Show Founder).
Terry was a good friend of Dick Doyle and when Dickie was building the new “BLOWN HEARSE”, Terry would stop there
and tell Dickie to hurry up and bring it to his show because he didn’t know how much time he had. Terry had cancer.
Dickie finished the “Hearse” and brought it to the show. That was Terry’s last show. Every year Dickie brings the “Hearse” to the Thomaston show and parks it in the same spot as he did the first time. They asked everyone for a moment of silence which
was more like 15 minute at least while Dickie drove his “BLOWN HEARSE” slowly down the center line of Main St. Main St. was
dead silent except for the sound of the “BLOWN HEARSE” making it’s way down the street. The crowds parted as the “Hearse” approached. Still Main St. was as quiet as a church. I never saw anything like that. R.I.P. Terry…We all miss you!
