Hi there race fans,my name is Tim Foley,and I used to race at dover 71/72.I had a stock 63 implala 283 4 speed,primer red with keystone mags,maybe someone remembers it,anyway I have some great memories of those times at the track.Just watched that short video and was thrilled to see thumper,can’t remember his name but I know he lived in yorktown .we met one night during some not so legal street racing. Man this site is awesome…I love it.
found some old pics,so I wanted to post em.The Super Pumpkin pic was taken at a car show in white plains I think. The implala was my first car,it wasn’t much on speed or looks but it was clean,and I had a blast with it both at Dover and on the street.I ran F,G,and I stock depending on the set up.Those days were some of the best times I’ve ever had.The altered pic I think was taken at either national speedway li,or center moriches li.,but almost certain i’ve seen it run at Dover.
