………Well 27000+ posts later,over 1400 Dover Guys registered with 100’s of others visiting each day …over 400 visits a day and we have our own Annual race..Featured in Newspapers and national magazines…and mentioned in countless other forums…..just thought ‘One of them thar Forums would be Fun” . . . . .who knew!

Now here’s a stat. for ya. 27,000 posts is more than the TOTAL attendence at Dover from ’61-’76 during it’s existance. 😮 1400 members is more than the TOTAL racers at Dover during any season. It truly was “The Little Dragstrip That Could”.
Smitty…Add this up…..Just a conservative car count average of 175 cars each week x 4.3 weeks in a month x may -sept= 5 months times that 4.3 weeks= 21.5 total weeks per “season” x 175 cars…you get 3762.5 per year cars entered….which IS more than 1400 on forum…factor in 50% repeat entries and you get 1881.25….still more ….Now take that factored 1881.25 x 15 years and its a whopping 28,218 cars that raced.I did Cars…Total Attendance with spectators added in to “crew” & driver pit passes and I just don’t have a clue….would have to ask Bud Hallock who was the “bean counter” -just what he could average out. On a good day with a Funny car show…we got 4000 paid spectators…the Best day for car count I remember was over 400 cars. . . . . whew!
