hi, ive been trying to purchase a set of 1965 class winner stickers for my gto . no one seems to want to help me. i spoke with a gentlemen at reunion who was in charge of the photo albums. first he said he had them at home. then he said he has to have them made 20 at a time. i offered to pre-pay $20 for 2, but he refused to accept my money. i also asked the staff selling the t- shirts with no results. does any one know where i can buy a set?…rickm.

At his own expense,you cannot imagine time and travel he goes through every week,to seek out ‘Dover’ memorbilia! The last 2 Dover events,he was as busy as a ‘one arm paper hanger’! I don’t know if you’ve got one of his business cards when you talked to him,but I know in due time,you’ll get them from him.Hang in there!

BRIAN has made a few ,but his original “printer” went out of business and the art files may be lost. As stated in the Topic on this …theres all kinds of ‘knock-offs’ out there. In this age of scan it and jam it …I’d rather… IF iI Did them …do it right or don’t do it at all. Can’t see doing hours of art set-up to stock 14 years worth of differant decals to sell two a month.

You guys are WAY off on this thing 🙁 First off: This person that was asking about the stickers came to Dover with his Dad when he was a small kid…He is a bunch younger then most of us and wants to make his 65 GTO era correct just to remember the old days ……He has a great respect for the Dover thing and anyway is not this about preserving the Dover legacy? What is the big deal about a kid wanting some win stickers for his street car? You guys need to get your heads out of your asses and get more of this kind of thing around….The more of this kind of stuff around , the more INK Dover has 😎 ….Oh and one more thing…………..The people involved in this were still shitting yellow when I was making passes down the 1320 😆 😆 😆

dinoTell ya what…I Have a source to make old-timey water slide Decals….not too many companys still around that do it. Might be pricey.I’ll look into making an AUTHENTIC -Designed RIGHT Water Slide ‘collection of the 63-69 stuff, considering I Designed the ’69 anyway,with Neri.. And will see how much and sell through the forum to bonified Dover Guys with Historicaly correct intentions. Wanna keep it Real .The Vinyl are easy and will be faithful ‘duplicates’ of the original method of screen printing….not the new “print on vinyl” stuff. Ask an musician how he feels about Bootlegged stuff.

im sorry if i offended anyone by having the thought of putting a class winner sticker on my quarter window. my intent was to be period correct and spark interest when someone looked at my car. i was NOT trying to make anyone think my kansas city born gto ever ran at dover or won a race. i was 6 years old in 1965..rickm.

rickm, you are Ok in wanting your car “period correct”. I agree with DK on this 100%. I would like some for my Willy’s, but it never ran Dover. Does that make me a bad person ?? I raced there, and I worked there, had a lot of fun. Won 19 times with my 72 Datsun Pick-up Stocker. Wish I still had the back window !! Won in /MP, and /Gas too. But even if I hadn’t, and was building a period correct car, I’d like to put some “kill” stickers on it. Dino, sometimes I just don’t understand you. You want Dover out there, in the “news” so to speak, but what, only on your terms?? Tom Blake has Dover stickers on his just built ’55 E/Gasser, I’m not hearing you crying about that.

dinoYou Guys Don’t Get It .I Don’t Like Cheap crappy copies.I’m a picky opinonated artist that hates point and click bootlegs.That’s about as far as period correct as you can get. Do what ya want with your car…I’d Rather have it right than have Bogus stuff …Theres so Much junkie looking stuff out there now …it really doesn’t matter. I take a lot of time to make my artwork right. When And If I make them ….They Will Be Right and make the other ones stand out like a sore thumb.Theres a Lot more to this than you guys know…like my art -logos and Original Works being copied-scanned and resold without my permission. Poor Rick got in the middle of this and and thats too bad. Iv’e spoken to Tom and Many others who are ready to replace the last minute ones they got where-ever with NICE -Good Ones. But It takes Hours to Compose & duplicate Each layout Then get it Produced.Give me some time from all my other stuff and we’ll all be on the same page.

Dino, it’s OK. You are correct in your thoughts, but it’s not nice to “shit in someones Cheerios” over little trivial things like stickers and decals. I still luv ya, and I’m sure DK does too. ……………MikeyXOXOXO 😆

Wow, Before any of this happened (website),I started collecting pictures, trophies and of Course stickers. Since then I have all of them except the 61-62 decals . I have found changes in 5 different years, the popular ones are 1965 & 1972…’65 started out black then changed to orange which stayed for 66 .Had to crawl through the woods at Skip North’s house to find that original black one on his old abandoned tow car.The 69 had the year and some dont and so on. In 2005 I had a place remake them for me and since changed owners the new guy is hard to deal with to say the least. I have spent countless hours and money finding this stuff, also all about the differeces in these stickers.Like 73 had two kinds- one vinyl on clear , one water slide. Dino and I might do something official with them from my and his orginals, but has to be right , anything good is not easy. The last person that I hooked up was Ronnie Morehead ,he had to replace one window, but all others still have orginals on them. My new 69 pro/stock firebird will have all era correct decals on it when I break the pro/stock record for 69, and yes it will have 69 dover kill stickers on the corner window. Brian
