2nd Annual Fastest Street Car @ The Valley 2014

This year’s race will again be held in conjunction with the Dover Drags at Lebanon Valley Dragway in New Lebanon, NY. It will be Saturday August 9th. We decided to change the few rules we had to make things go a bit smoother and easier for everyone. It is still a run what you brung, heads up race, but with even fewer rules.
• Open to all American powered RWD cars and trucks with mufflers and D.O.T. tires.
• Cars can be trailered to the event, but must drive the 20-30 mile round trip cruise.
• All cars must be registered, insured and inspected (if required in the state they are from). NO dealer plates.
• All cars must pass track tech for the times they run.
• No cry babies.
• All cars will get a Fastest Street Car At the Valley contestant decal for their window.
• All participants will meet at the Eastern Hot Rodder area by 8:30 AM to go over the rules and get ready for the 9:00 cruise. The cruise will go from LVD to a checkpoint and back. We will have people along the route as spotters.
• At the checkpoint the driver must shut the car off, get out of the car and sign the book. They must then restart the car, under its own power and drive back to the track to sign in for the race part and get teched in.
• All remaining contestants will make at least one time trial.
• Once the time trials are done racers will be called to lanes
• If your car breaks and you can’t fix it between rounds, you loose.
• Last guy standing wins it. This will prove to be a fast and durable, real street car. It may not end up being the fastest if the quicker guy blows up, but the car and driver made it through the carnage and competition.
• This year we will be going by a Pro Tree rather than a flag to avoid driver error and give me more time to take pics.
• The winner gets a full spread in Eastern Hot Rodder, a trophy and a cool jacket declaring them the Fastest Street Car At The Valley.
• There will be a trophy awarded for fastest pass and quickest pass as well others like greatest wheelstand.
