Boy Linguini Bros, what you could do with a motor like that in the comp coupe! How is that going?
I admire Ron alot ,with his theory and goals; whatever it takes to make it as close to ‘original’ as possible, when restoring his Willys gassers. This is a ‘fine’ example (the ‘Olds’ engine).Plus the fact,’none’ of his Willys gassers are ‘trailer-queens’,he runs them hard and fast, that’s what there meant to be !!!
Talked to Ron Normann this week. He’s preparing the ‘Bee Line’ Willys to take to the N.H.R.A Nationals,if everything goes alright.A nice gesture to represent a ‘Dover’ legendary ‘gasser’,Al Z’s A/GS.
The car looks beautiful, almost better than new. 😆 😆
Mikey,if you shut your eyes, and open them, staring at the photo, you’d swear it was ‘1965’ all over again! Restored and detailed to a ‘T’ !!! Ron Normann we thank you!
Hey Dino, thanks for posting the pictures. We had a great time thanks to the hospitality of Ron Normann I cannot tell you what a terrrific host he was. Altough the rain stayed with us the whole weekend we got to meet and hang out with some very famous people. A heartfelt thanks Ron from me and Al’s family. Peter
Dino and Pete, thank you for sharing the photos of the Bee Line at Indy! Pete,it’s really got to make you and the family proud,to have Uncle Al’s Willys displayed at the N.H.R.A Nationals! I think it’s great! For sure,a ‘legendary’ Dover Dragstrip Gasser! CONGRATULATIONS to you,and your family Pete!!!
Pete of course it was an honor to go to my very first Indy to represent my family. My Aunt was thrilled that I went and Ron did a great job, and for you Mr. Seger I have to thank you for all the kind words and praise you have had for Al I know he appreciated it when he was with us. Thanks again Peter
