DOVER : Level till the END ?

I hope I dont get in trouble for this 🙄 …but was Dover level till the end ❓ like level to the finish line …..and then start downward after that or after the mph clocks ❓ some of the photos of the shut down sort of mix you up on this question ………just wondering ❓ 🙄 ……..I know when I went down the track for the first time I WAS ready for the “way it was” and had no problem in ether lane ………….tomato

I have a photo angle thats show just that …hold on on …I’ll hit the Vault…this shows perfectly level til last mph light(in Forground) …THEN she goes down. We couldn’t see them from second story of tower when they ‘went over the hill’. Time slip booth intercom would have to tell us to “hold them on the line” if there was a traffic jam , backed up onto track or if someone went off the end. We couldn’t see the shutdown ,it dropped so much. Ok …Quiz-time …name the cars !…and thats a CLOSE RUN !….hint D/G

The gold ’55 Chevy is Herb Pardy in his 6 cylinder H/G Goldfinger car.
CORRECT …the other ’57 has no bumper and no letttering …maybe someone will remember ….[edit-Dino]
