That car was my B/SM ride with about $40k in it………Legal I went 9:70’s in 1986…Ed Quay did the chassis, Bob Ingles the motor and B&B Auto Body in Bedford Hills did the paint………ZZ Topp red with the ZZ stripes…Glen did the lettering (remember him ?)……Family problems forced me to sell and Delmar Wood drove here from Oklahoma bought it and trailered it home….He set the record and was S/S World Champ that year all with my stuff in the car………Anyway you and I spoke about this and I sent pics of the car (not with the first bunch of pics) not too long ago………Didn’t know if you found and or posted them……..Don…….

Dave Heller built another car and put “Equalizer” on it to run the then new Pro Stock class………Well this conflicted with my 67 car in the Modified Production / Gas class and after bitching about it to Flip they ended up putting “Equalizer 2” on the 69 car….I still was not happy so I left the Flip stables and got a sponsor from Official Auto Parts and Ray lettered it on the car………..That is the story on that………….For the record I stayed friends with Flip and he helped me out a bunch through the years…………… 😀
