Del and Chuck Worsham built the “MegaRita” machine several years ago and had it in their pit for the Winternationals and the Finals. Over the years, their Sunday night parties got so big (live band included), they had to increase the capacity of the mixing buckets so they wouldn’t run out of Margaritas so fast.
As the story goes, one year the cops finally came down on them because of the curfew (noise). The cop told Chuck he should have told them he was going to light it off because the fine was $600.00. Chuck said, “We’re gonna fire it up again. Here’s a check for $1,200.00!”
