Frank’s father’s ‘Colonial Diner’, on Broadway, in Kingston, was the meeting place for breakfast, for the boys heading to the drags on Sunday morning. The ‘original’ trolley diner was very small, and every morning it be ‘standing room only’! The food was ‘great’! I can’t remember exactly what year they replaced the diner (in the 80’s) with a modernized,3 times the size of the original diner! Not only was the food still good, but one heck of a selection of delicious deserts! I have no idea who took it over nowadays?
