OK statisticians…IS JUNIOR STOCK all Reg. Stock A to Z .?..With Super /Stock being ‘senior”? I always thought Junior Stock was the “lower’ plain stock classes…A A/S 427 -425 horse ain’t too Junior.
Stu ran that car out of my shop when he first got it. Won a lot of races both on and off the track. 😉
John
Even Billy Lagana got into it

real good article on Junior Stock
heres just part of it:
“So in the Stock classes, cars that ordinary rodders wouldn’t be seen dead in at the drive-in were the hot setup at the dragstrip: four-door sedans, nine-passenger wagons, sedan deliveries. Also Studebakers, Hudsons, ’50 to ’54 Oldsmobiles, ’57 Fords with Paxton blowers, or any vehicle in which the advertised power rating might be underestimated a bit. The racers also attacked another apparent loophole, which allowed any engine in any body style of the same year, as long as they were of the same general family. Suddenly there were fuel-injected ’57 and ’58 Pontiac Chieftains showing up at the track, even though Pontiac offered Rochester FI only in the Bonneville. This same loophole applied to transmissions as well. Since the Borg-Warner four-speed was offered in the Corvette from ’57 on, the NHRA allowed it in fullsize Chevys “
