Last Run For Gene Ritacco

We lost another old Dover racer…………….Gene Ritacco……… He passed Friday morning after a short illness (3 weeks) Gene ran a 65 Plymouth Sport Fury in stock Elim. in the 1966 season only…………One of the N.Y. Boyz he moved to Watertown Ct. in the 70’s and went into SCCA racing with a host of fast BMWs………I met Gene when we were 12 years old and never lost track of each other…The last 2 years I was working part time at his Watertown BMW shop………I miss him dearly…..Don

I’ve never seen that many people at a memorial service………. Gene got quite a send off….For most of you who never knew him, he was an amazing person…….Bob thank you for being there…He always asked for you….We need to go to Blackies and have his dog…………….Hey Gene, see you when it’s all over……..Don…. 😥
