OLD, OLD skool stuff…Notice Drags (Race)…Pre-58….In lot (Show)-pre-64….got a “bar-clubhouse” at 1/8 mile ….Hamb (forum) at http://www.jalopyjournal.com (Link on homepage) has tons of photos …use search feature there to find (“Motor Speedway”)….We’re sending them some Dover “Stuff” to hang on walls !
I took my 65 Fairlane down for a look a few weeks ago. Very Cool idea. Turnout was light but the entire idea brings you back to the 50’s. They built a large building( open front ) that has a lot of car stuff hanging on the walls and Cold beer for sale !! Food vendor also. They had a great rockabilly band playing and when they took a break they had a guy spinning REAL records. Nice young girl doing flag starts on the 1/8th . They are showing old school car movies after dark. Thumbs up ! 😀
It’s exciting to see other locals interested in old time racing. I plan to drop in here often and look around…. looks like a great place to learn more history… keep it up boys.

my 2 cents worth, have the 2nd annual DDS race at Motor Speedway,a little more southern exposer OH,2 day event , OH OHshow the DDS BIG video on the very large drive in movie screen,then watch a monster movie OH OH OH Sat nite,eat drink be merry, race Sunday,1/8 mile good for the old DDS cars that are not safe ,certified etc to run the full 1/4 !my 5 cents worth!!
