        quote dinotheweirdo:

Was considering “Opening Up’ the Multi-media Section for Non registered on the forum….Any “Visitor” Any comments or Suggestions ?

        … THIS WASIN “Announcements

yep for sure, should be registered,
with the way people are today taking something that
brings back memories and friendship ๐Ÿ™‚
to make money for themself or to say I have this ๐Ÿ‘ฟ
the site should have a way to see who is on it and what is happening, ๐Ÿ˜ฏ
take for example the annual reunion would not be the longest one going
if not for the watchfull eyes & dedication of Smoky & Grover
and the frienship and connections they still have from the GOOD OLD DAYS-
the site is great because it goes to places that was not available
to Mark & Grover for the longest time and have helped BOTH
causes emencely, but as I said before and still mean it, with out the reunion
and all the work of Mark & Grover and their staff, NONE of this would be
        here today.

but that is my feelings, hope nothing happen to eather project (reunion & site)

            Dino-
Yes, must be registered! As most sites require something similar-you get to
            go just so far…want more? Become a member…get registered…etc!
            Just one opinion.
            Thanks-

Ok …those two are summing up “My Original” intentions. Visit …Fine ..want more -register ( access to Multi-Media -photos /Videos)…..want even MORE -ODF MEMBERSHIP(3000 photos -goodies in mail). WE ALL UNDERSTAND (I Hope)…whatever you post in the general forum headings as far as photos AND get this: addresses…phone numbers, e-mail addresses—–> is pretty much open game -available to any internet “visitor”…why User Name concept originated. So think first…..Most photos, when posted are in a low resolution anyway …and copying from general forum posting ,or any other place on the site ,usually comes out pretty bad anyway…grainy…out of focus.(WHY THE PHOTO DISC IDEA)…You really can’t make a decent ,blown up 8X10 for example …to try to sell/ But someone might. BUT ya might think twice about real personal info like phone numbers. THATS WHY Registered Forum Users GET THE GREAT OPTION of clicking on ANY OTHER Forum Users name…Going to his Profile and being able to E-mail Or Private Message ….”VISITORS CAN”T ACCESS THAT”. ๐Ÿ˜€ Got me going ….EVERYTHING posted on this Site by you or me IS Copyright Protected By US as Site Owners …You see someone out there trying anything like reproducing “Our-Your” stuff…Let me know… “we have our ways’-resources and Who in their right mind would want 470 old dover farts on their ass that includes Lawyers-Private Investigatores -Politicians-Law Inforcement -COMPUTER HACKERS AND A LOT OF Grumpy old ,very nasty If they want to be ,ITALIANS, (and Lithuanians)…with all the right connections.??? as the Jalopy Journal says: “Steal our Stuff and we’ll break your face ” or… burn down your hard drive ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

*On what Bobby S. said…You got it right !…the Reunion (Danbury)And this site ,are now working hand in hand, to promote each other…You guys don’t see or hear all the “back room” netwoking going on on…phone calls ,trading resourses, press releases and working for the common good of both . We have accomplshed a ton of things in just the last 6-9 months that have greatly added to the promotion of both …..It’s all about DOVER

WHEW …too much coffee…Ok more….WE have the “Back Room” ( forum sercret- control board softwear access)capibilities as Forum administrators to Actually Track down AND find abusive posters by some really neat “tools” ..and “techniques”….we use IP address- server connections- and a few “tricks’ to locate the jerks…And can ban or block any future access to site or posting from their computer….so they use another computer ? we find that and do the same thing . What must be stated is that We have mostly, a pretty great group of mature “older-wiser’ 60’s -70’s forum guys that make it mostly trouble free ,in comparison to other age-culture leanings. makes our job easier ….and THANKS !

See; this “Guy is “peeking” as I wrote this…there’s his computer ID and all his softwear And what he’s looking at /actual time of view—-Gotcha!…(I changed his comp. ip # for privacy)

Anybody Else?….Looks like we’ll keep things “as-Is” …unless we have some GOOD reasons not to.

People should have to join to see all that has been put together.
There is an awful lot available for free but the people that have been to Dover will want to see it all.
The price to join is well worth what you get in return.
You have put out some nice teasers and if someone is interested enough, join the club.
                                        Just like Sam’s or Cosco’s.
I remember the first time I found the site, couldn’t wait to see all the pictures.

                                                Hi Guys,

I agree, you should be a paid member to see all that the site offers. This helps to keep this site online. We need as many paid members as we can get.
