NETO races 8 and 9 were held at Beaver Springs Dragway in Beaver Springs PA. on July 11 and 12, as part of the York Nostalgia Nationals.
On July 11, twenty two racers competed on a hot and humid day.
In Nostalgia eliminator 16 racers made round one. At the end of the day Chris Andretta in his sleek 69 Camaro won with a 10.47 on a 10.41 dial. Fred Michel in his 79 Monza was runner up with a 12.93 on a 12.75 dial.
In Comp eliminator 5 racers made round one. Ron Baker in his beautiful 66 Chevelle won with a 9.26 on a 9.25 index. Mike Petrole was runner up for the second race in a row with his fast 67 Camaro. Mike a 9.10 on a 9.00 index.
The limited series 10.0 index was run on Saturday. There were 4 racers qualifying. The qualifying order was
1. Rich Mauceri 10.09
2. Ed Hedrick 10.14
3. Chris Andretta 10.23
4, Scott Thorpe 10.33
In the final Rich Mauceri in his J & B Performance prepared SBC 67 Chevy II took the win going 10.14 over Ed Hedrick in his Tony Feil prepared BBC 72 Nova with a losing 10.12.
On July 12 twenty racers competed under really hot temperatures.
In Nostalgia Eliminator 15 racers made first round.
Ed Hedrick in his 72 Nova ran 10.14 on a 10.00 dial took the win over a red lighting Rich Mauceri in his 67 Chevy II who ran 10.18 on a 10.15 dial.
In Comp eliminator John Giambertone took the win in his 65 Comet Cyclone, running 9.85 on a 9.75 index over runner up Jerry Deslandes with a red lighting 9.18 on a 9.00 index.
