Per Lebanon Valleys website 30 seconds ago, Wed.6-10 pm Street Night “NO SLICKS OR OPEN EXHAUST”. Again…we’ll be fine for the 3rd annual Dover Nostalgia Drags on Sat and Sun. 😀 Unless you tow up there early and wanted to test on Wed. then there would be a problem. You could always test @ Etown on Wed. open headers after 6 pm. 🙄
….. I dont think you need muffflers on sat sun right now at LV so were ok for now …… but yes there are plenty of muffled wedesdays and fridays …. at a lot of tracks …….and the mufflers we would be using still make some “sound” and some actcually make as much power or more as open exhaust ………
I have made a set of slide on and pin…mufflers for the Austin for the few times I actually have to put them on…..I have flowmaster bullet style with turndowns….slow the car down 3 to 4 hundreths……but man the noises you get from the car that you dont with the open tubes……on the track is almost eary….I dont like them at all….but we race at E town 2 or 3 times a year….and we make a weekend out of them…..on sat….cant pass the 9 db….no racey…….
HI GUYS! its SNOWING again. they said a “dusting”.got 4″ already! no muffler on MY snow blower. LVD has FRIDAY test & tunes. NO MUFFLERS! 10-3pm.they always have one before a 2 day event it seems.went to many 2003-2006.mufflers do not belong on a “RACE” car,but to race at all it’s better than no track.some turbo cars need them to go fast!we had a stafford springs motor at the shop ,down on power.motor dynoed 5hp from orig. build.took complete ex. off car,put on dyno-minus 30 hp! THIS WAS A VERY EXPENSIVE SYSTEM. REPLACED W/BRAND X -11HP. car was back in front, nothing wrong with motor. englishtown uses a decibel meter at the time slip booth.
