Just In to “Dover Race Central”…current owner of Bobby Lagana’s original “American Challange” funny car to display it at the Dover Drag Strip Nostalgia Drags ! Repainted back then by the last owners-the Olson Bros. out of Jersey by Circus Paint and lettered by Glen.Unique car with its signature wing and back seat driver position.Its Bobby’s all right. Debuted At Dover ,then Bobby went on to other “Twilight Zone” funny cars and finally the Fuel dragsters with his legendary ramp truck.Oh-.Stu Smith the current owner, on Long Island, has THAT too. It’s being rebuilt and ‘might’ make it to the event Too!

Attention In The Pits…Just Confirmed…On Display at the Dover Drag Strip Nostalgia Drags…The Original Al Hofmann Vega Funny Car, Now owned by George Reidnauer. George will be running his Excalbur Funny Car and has graciously agreed to bring Als Car Too. This is real History .I was fortunate enough to letter the first red version.Al sent it west to modifiy the side windows and get current paint scheme.Still has A&W Texaco (Danbury) on it.
